Where do we start????

Well this is all a little new and something that I have been thinking about doing for a long time and well I guess that today is the day!

A little about me, as the title suggests I am a crazy cat lady, not the type that has a million cats, just the 2 that I adore. Miss Kitty and Koko Saki. Miss Kitty is 13 years and Koko Saki is 5 months.

They both enjoy sitting on my lap or on the table where I am sewing, which brings me to the second thing that I adore at the moment and that is sewing. I am an absolute beginner and am still feeling my way through but I love every minute of it.

It seems to be something that is in the blood, mum sews, nanna sews and even great nanna was a sewer (?). It all started when Husband suggested that we get a sewing machine to hem pants as it was costing a fortune at the alteration lady, who would have thought that this simple purchase of the base line Brother would lead me on this adventure??

So the goal for this year is to sew something each month, either for myself or some one else.

January is complete, I have sewn some fabric napkins for a friends birthday and I also have a girls dress on the go for a nieces birthday, which I will post progress shots of.

So I think with that all being said, I will sign off now because I dont want to babble on and on in the first blog, I will be sure to keep you posted on the sewing adventures of 2011
